II. College Overview
The School of Law and Economics enrolls doctoral students in the Social Management Engineering direction under the primary discipline of Management Science and Engineering. It possesses master's programs for two primary disciplines: Applied Economics and Public Administration; a master's program for the secondary academic discipline of Marxist Law; and four professional master's degree categories: International Business (MIB), Juris Master (JM), Master of Social Work (MSW), and Master of Public Administration (MPA). The School offers five undergraduate programs: Law, Social Work, Financial Technology, Investment Science, and Public Administration. Currently, there are 1,362 full-time undergraduate students and 687 postgraduate students.
Faculty Strength
The School currently has 72 full-time faculty members, including 11 professors and 37 associate professors. There are 9 doctoral supervisors and 44 postgraduate supervisors. The faculty includes 1 Hubei Provincial Teaching Master, 1 Hubei Famous Teacher, 2 recipients of the Baosteel Education Fund Outstanding Teacher Award, 2 recipients of the Hubei Provincial "May 1st Labor Medal," 1 expert enjoying the State Council Special Allowance, and 1 provincial/ministerial level Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions.

Research Achievements
In the past five years, the School has secured 6 Major Projects of the National Social Science Fund (including rolling funding) and 1 Key Project of the National Social Science Fund. It has undertaken 23 National Social Science Fund projects, over 80 provincial/ministerial level projects, and more than 250 municipal/departmental level and horizontal research projects, with total funding exceeding 15 million RMB. Faculty have published over 50 academic books, received 1 Second Prize of the Higher Education Outstanding Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) from the Ministry of Education, and secured approval for the National Civil Commission's Chinese National Community Research Base.
Cultivate quality
In recent years, the college has won a total of 77 provincial and ministerial awards and above in the previous ‘Challenge Cup’"series of competitions, including 11 national second prizes, 14 third prizes and 2 excellent awards. Luo Xiaoli, a student, was rooted in the front line at the grass-roots level and reported on the results of grassroots work; Fang Jiahui, a student, was named ‘Advanced Individual of National Anti-epidemic Youth Volunteer Service’and ‘Chinese College Student of the Year Award’; Huang Yahui, a student, was named ‘National College Student Self-Strenance Star’. Two student branches of the college (graduate party branch, Xu Baihao class student party branch) were rated as the model party branches of the Ministry of Education's national party building work. ‘Building a red class Xu Baihao class inherits the clean bloodline with red genes’ was selected as the classroom practice case of the ninth college integrity education series of the Ministry of Education, ‘Building a red class , inheriting the blood of integrity’ won the provincial integrity construction innovation case award.
